Teams!
Yea, so a friend and I decided tonight that wigle needs another table in the DB for teams. Something real simple that just associates a user with a team/team name, for viewing on the stats page.

I've got most of the work done for this, I started on it a long time ago. I should get that polished up for public use.
Looks good. Now how doable are these features?
Sortable column for what group the user is in on the main stats page.
Ability for group members in an 'approval required' group to be able to query all points found by the group, not just by themselves. Aka, let users see who found what within their own group. Possibly have an enable/disable option in the group management?
Link to the groups page from the WiGLE.net home page, other than the one in the news.

It's linked on the stats page.Link to the groups page from the WiGLE.net home page, other than the one in the news.
Maybe if enough users participate to make it worth whileSortable column for what group the user is in on the main stats page.
Not sure what you mean by this. I added stats to the group user list, which some others have requested.Ability for group members in an 'approval required' group to be able to query all points found by the group, not just by themselves. I threw a link on the main page, and there's one on the stats page like ax0n saidLink to the groups page from the WiGLE.net home page, other than the one in the news.

Like on the WiGLE client side... you login and WiGLE can tell you whether the points being returned are yours or not. I'm thinking of the ability to get the usernames to who found what (only within a closed group) for members of your group, provided that the group owner has enabled this, and individual members of the group allow themselves to be included in such a query.

Ever since the groups page was set up to display individual counts within the group, users who haven't uploaded yet have disappeared.
Also, the count for 'Augustana AITP' seems to be incorrect. For the group it says the new networks discovered is 7191. However when you add up the numbers for those of us who uploaded (6375+466) it doesn't add up. Any ideas?

have a look at the column headers.
some say "with gps" and some do not.

Hmmmm, ok. So whether a GPS was used or not doesn't matter for group counts? Any chance there could be a 'Total Discovered Networks' column on the groups' member page? Or maybe, use the same fields on the regular stats page for both the group stats page, and the detailed stats for the group?

Just my 0.02(insert Euro sign here)'s worth...

The join becomes expensive checking if the network has gps or not when doing a group stats run, so groups have non-gps in em too. At some point if this catches on i can do that with another table, but thought i'd get the thing out there sooner instead.
The user list for a group has the personal stats, so not sure what a link would get you.

This has just added a new dimension to the competition aspect wardriving. I anticipate a very big catch-on. It's awesome!
