Web maps showing "Plot Error, Apologies"

The web maps seem to be showing "Plot Error, Apologies" for all tiles. The Google maps background is working fine. Used to work fine for me, is part of the platform down still? (i couldn't access anything or upload files for a couple of days from a variety of devices and ISPs, the front page was an ...

Re: Deleting moving nets? A specific example

Agree this would improve the quality and value of the data. There are a number of possible criteria that could be applied, perhaps with weightings, to show whether an AP is mobile or not. I think there is also room for some similar inteligence working out when an AP has moved permanently, eg when so...

Re: Wigle Wifi for Android: Suggestions

It seems to me that WigleWifi for Android is logging the location of APs when first detected during a run, and not at subsequent consecutive points detected, including the point at which the signal strength is strongest . This is reducing the accuracy of the data produced, because in dead-end/no-thr...

how to avoid uploading some bad data? (Wigle Wifi android)

I recorded a run today where the GPS went crazy half way through (points many :D hundreds of miles off.) I don't want to upload these points. Is there any way to avoid this? If I record a new run then upload, this run will also get uploaded, right? How can I remove them from my local database? Thanks!

Re: Wigle Wifi for Android: Suggestions

Not sure whether this is a real bug or not, but the new/old WiFi doesn't seem correct - when I visit an area that the webmap shows has not been mapped at all before, and I certainly haven't, quite a high percentage of APs are detected as not new. Any ideas?

Re: RC Aircraft Wardriving: Warflying?

I also wondered about this as I have some R/C aircraft. Problem is, flying them over houses is really not a very good idea. I was also concerned that the signal strengths might be disproportionately strong as there will be less obstructions, so it might drag the positions of a lot of APs towards the...

Trails across map pointing to zero/zero lat/long

I have observed on the web map that there are trails from large cities to the point where the Greenwich Meridian crosses the equator (ie lat/long both=zero). These cross oceans, deserts etc and are clearly erroneous. It seems to me that these must be caused by points erroneously being reported with ...
