Nice job!
It seems the external antanae does the trick!

Wardriving continued

If you are new to computers in general a good place to start would be (www.netstumbler.com) for you stumbling software. I recomend using windows XP because of its driver compatibility. Prism 2,2.5 and 3 cards are well supported. Orinoco's are also well supported. As of the writing of this, I am unaw...

Wifi suggestions

No one as of yet has given me any trouble over wardriving. IAs for cards, I recomend the SMC 2532W-B. Its PRISM 2.5 and can be used in conjunction with two antanae and its 200mw. Or taking a look on ebay for prism 2.5 cards. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=45000&item=572613589...

SVGA textmode

I know in linux there is a package called SVGA textmode. You could probably set your text res up to 80x40 or 80x50 pretty easily.

Im not sure if they ported that to BSD yet.

Greetings and well met!

I recomend using the HostAP drivers for linux and using kismet. Kismet is a passive mode scanner which picks up alot more AP's and is generally more comprehensive. Getting kismet to work however may be a pain. The Hostap drivers support Prism II cards (the DWL650 *should* work with these). The Orino...
