Hello,

Aircrack reports zero IV packets. Is that normal for a 26MB file? Or was I just unlucky?

Is there any way of knowing that its WEP encryption? Because I gather if its WPA then KISMAC and Aircrack are not going to assit me and I'll have to take another approach.

Thanks,

Rob

I use aircrack to try and crack the captured data as it seems to work faster than KISMAC. But no luck either. Could the reason be because its using WPA or another from of encryption? Ho...

Anyone know if the DWL-G122 Wireless USB Adapter works?

Hello all,

Got an iBook G4 and looking to buy a Dlink DWL-G122 Wireless USB Adapter.

Does anyone know if it works with Kismac? I want to get something with 802.11G because I'm living here in Spain and its all 802.11G here.

Thanks,

Rob

So I should not have any problems if I buy a 802.11b adapter then? They are a load cheaper.

I cant seem to find a 802.11g one for a good price and thats compatible with KisMac.

Hello all,

New to MAC so excuse my ignorance. Why does the built in Airport card not work Passive Mode? I use a new iBook g4 purchased this year in Europe. I am currently in Spain.

Do I need to buy another wifi card to enter into passive mode with KisMAC?

Thanks,

Rob
