wow. 700000 points worldwide. that's 100000 new points in less than two months! Thanks to all of you, our users: you folks are amazing! WiGLE.net research scientists are actively underway working on fresh new releases of the WiGLE.net clients, and advanced methods of turning APs and geographic infor...
filtering
quality locations are ones not excluded by the filtering we do. if you see an ap, and your gps or stumbling package is wonked out and reporting you somewhere you aren't, your observation of that ap will not agree with those who've seen it before. in such cases an observation may fall several standar...
lame reporters will perish in flames
the reason bobzilla's link dosen't work:

hrm. to clarify
the APs will pick up locations as they are seen subsequently, by you and others.
woot
okay. that i can answer. the "why" answers are because it accepted the posts before, just didn't take the gps coordinates. so you were the discoverer, it just didn't know where you'd discovered them at. i'm going to re-run your stats now, and that should pick up your credit. your accuracy ...

i've been soundly thrashed.
it turns out that when you're using subroutines, its important to read them first. sorry for all the confusion. it really should work now.

sorry for the trouble. this one might take a bit to fix.

i'll have another another look. the sexigesimal gps was definately what was screwing it up last night.
the "good locations" are ones not culled by our filtering algorithms.

grr. nmea..
okay, the changes are in production.
it was definately a parser error (on our side) on the plist exports from MacStumbler.
if you can repost your files, they should be picked up correctly.
if they aren't drop us another line.

the files
yeah. its definately a parser issue (or stumbleware) not sure yet. i do know that W 3905.493896, N 7711.380371 are not normal gps coordinates. now just need to find out if we're broken, or if macstumbler is :-) ( and yes, to geeks watching at home, i know what the problem is. just need to find out w...
woo!
oh wow.
yeah, if you could send us your macstumbler version i would really appreciate it. there are some seriously interesting values in the file :-)

wha happen?
hrm. the short answer is "it depends" the long answer is more complicated. if you can send your upload id or filename to wigle-admin@wigle.net (or via the forum messaging) we can have a look at the file, but the most likely thing is that your stumble didn't turn up any new networks, and th...

need input
not at the moment, but primarily due to lack of a good datasource for the UK, like we have with the US census TIGER data (which our mappacks are derived from.) if you know of a source of unrestricted map data for the UK, i know we'd love to have a look! our clients (JiGLE,DiGLE,etc.) all work world-...
