That 's easy if you kept your original logs. Do a WiGLE query for AP's found only by you with a zero as the coordinates. Now you have the MAC addresses and search your logs for that MAC. If that log has any with GPS then you have an idea where to start. I keep a trace of every drive from day one so...
Leaves on the trees will definitely soak up GPS signals. Anyone who has gone geocaching knows this too well! It doesn't hurt as bad as a loose connector, though. You won't notice it as much in at higher speeds in a vehicle, but at walking (or biking) speeds you can lose lock from trees/leaves. My s...
Wow this is an edju-ma-kation. (joke) wow, sounds like you have a big ball o' wires indeed! by amps i assume you mean RF amplifier? i've been a radio hobbyist all my life, a ham in the 80's, blahblah and wayback, many external amps also had a receive preamp. i am a passive receiver only while 'drivi...

I tend to WD college student housing areas when I can because the AP density there is about double just about any other area in the area. Don't be supprised if some of your points move arround because of that alone. now if ony I could easilly figure out where I was when I drove the 4000+ APs that so...
How many miles do you drive a month war driving?
How many miles do you think you cover a month. Obviously where you cover them depends on your hit rate, but the driven miles is probably important too. Since I live close to work (less than .5 miles) I've started visiting yard/Garage sales on weekends to give me a resonable justification for trollin...

Uploads stuck?
It appears like the Uploads are not being converted or processed. Is there a possibilty that one file is plugging the queue. I mean if it were like a 20 meg file I can see it taking time to process, but the files I uploaded an hour and a half ago seem to just be sitting. Maybe have the uploads page ...
most/least commaon channel
I would say that 6 is the most common channel, though the antennas are probably optimized for that which is why manufacturers use it as their default. The funny thing is that the number of APs in a given area on chan 6 probably negates this slight benefit. Also you shouldn't think of the channels as...
how often is new data added to web maps?
The subject about covers it, I was wondering how often the map data gets added, to the web maps after a file is parsed.

something almost completely different
Where I went to college, we had a novell server. with those you define the Network node name in hex, or use a random generated one. For the longest time it was set as BA:BE. Somone finally noticed after about 3 years and being PC made us change it. so we changed it to DE:AD:BA:BE. they didnt like th...
