web map plot error

I keep getting a web map plot error. If I specify an address, the map properly moves to the new location but no points are plotted. Also probably unrelated, I had trouble logging in via ssl, to the main site and had to drop back to non ssl to get access to post an upload file. After enting the passw...

Re: Jigle authentication fails

unable to authenticate. Windows 7. Using same password. Is there a new problem. Dratt., would have liked to see those access points. Also had to move properties file as above. This thread is over a year old and I currently have no problem attaching. You might want to start your own thread if you ar...

Re: File processing hanging

The files are being processed slowly. It took about 1.5 hours to drop my latest post from 89 to 78 in the queue. It does occasionally happen that someone dumps a huge pile of data on the servers that they need to crunch though. This more often than not happens on the weekend. there could also be a l...

Re: Cell towers

hmm I had thought that the 'tower' was added to Wigle based something similar to WiFi points, triangulation on signal strength and phone gps location. I'm not sure if all towers are listed in the FCC to begin with. I know that a portion are listed with the FAA because they are over 199 feet AGL at w...

Re: mappacks / jigle (not updated?)

I'm wondering if it would be possible to regen the map packs themselves. They have to be 5 or so years out of date. The bounding box coordinates should be the same but having updated roads would be nice. Or maybe to take some load off of you guys doing it. post the script* that does it and anyone wh...

Re: inSSIDer native GMX format

It's actaully the G P X format, and a it's really simple XML data container. Here is an example file with one point and comments The description really isn't used very much anywhere, so you can probably ignore it while parsing. I work on inSSIDer, and wrote the new GPX I/O classes for inSSIDer 2.0....

Re: My yard sale

As luck would have it my Garmin 16A Sensor was stolen off my car sometime over the last 2 days so until that is replaced I don't have a particular need. It sucks. Here is your chance to pass me in the standings again. j/k.

Re: No gps-able devices are corrupting Wigle

Out of curiosity, does this only affect the web map? I may have seen something for some points under JiGLE but I had not narrowed down a repeatable case enough to say anything. I know from previous discussions that the web map doesnt get updated until 5-6am CST unless that has changed with using Goo...

Re: nextel phone as GPS

Nextel is not good for GPS. So better, not to try with it.
Please check the date when replaying to threads. This thread has been inactive for almost 3 years prior to your post.

Re: Query/stats suggestion

If you use the JiGLE client you can get that level of granular detail. Being Java, it runs on your platform though for some areas with more points, you may want to increase the amount of memory assigned to the applet. Try it normally first though.

Re: inSSIDer native GMX format

Ever the optimist, I had already done so prior to asking the question. The file ID's are _Insider_2010-0722010-7-2_17-22-59.gpx (I'm not sure how much actual data is in this fole since it is much smaller than the others.) _Insider_2010-0712010-7-2_19-5-25.gpx _Insider_2010-0702010-7-2_16-43-33.gpx idd

inSSIDer native GPX format

Are there any plans to support inSSIDer's GMX format? If you export to NS1 from the app, it only gives you the APs from the last five minutes according to their forums, and there isn't a way to open/load the data file in the application after you capture it so that you can convert it to the KML if t...
