Tethering. An access point that is not usually tied to a wall power outlet. An access point that is expected to move often, from the house, park, work, restaurant, etc...but what is MI-FI ?

Maps has "Show New Only" and "Show Run & New"... but I wish there was "Show Everything in the phone's database" to keep me from going around in circles!

I'm just using my cellphone, because it has the GPS built right in. And its always there. I can pick up about 1,000 sites on the way to work. And the points seem to accurately average where they should be. Beautifully populated maps. I have one of those fancy phase array yagi antennas (vagi) and had...

Anyone else scan for channels oustide the legal 1-11? I found a few access points running on channel 14 here in Kansas City. The open source Linux drivers on my Atheros card lets me extend the range to scan quite a bit farther covering nearly 1GHz in bandwidth. I hope to get my GPS working soon, so ...
