Net density (concentration) Stat
Might be interesting to see stats for the top 500 most concentrated areas.
Would be very easy to update and provide "Net Densities" at .1 degrees (~36 sq miles) and .001 degrees resolution (~.0036 sq miles).

Userfound info not consistant????
Got any ideas why? When I click on show "Only my networks" on the wigle query page I get a mix of "Yes" and "No" for the "USERFOUND" field. I notice this occurs with jigle and digle as well. 00:0c:41:f6:66:84 N 00:0c:41:d5:e4:ee Y 00:12:17:bf:6e:db N 00:0f:66:...

Dutch I appreciate the explaination. Thanks  So, back to my original suggestion. Is it possible to add the options on the QUERY page for a Last Updated range (start date to end date), plus add the option to receive the data in a compressed file like you do for jigle/digle? As far as I can see ...

AFAIR the GZIP in question here operates in much the same way that MNP-5 or V.42bis worked with dialup. Roger on the inline compression. So, does that apply to the following option as well? GZip Encoding Tack on gzip to your Accept-Encoding string, and WiGLE will GZip all of it's results for faster...

Actually I thought as you that the gz file was dl'd and decompressed to be displayed. I've done a search of my entire HDD looking for gz file not to find any other than those for the clients and nothing with a date and time coming close. I just tried using firefox and it errors and shuts down withou...

Re: observation
what makes you think its not compressing the transfer? its not something that you see as an end-user, unless you're watching with tcpdump/ethereal/whatever. I guess for the following reasons: 1) I don't get a gzip file and 2) It only delivers the nets as webpages in increments of 1k per page. Not k...

Re: lol
I gather IE6 doesn't support gzip, so could you be so kind as to recommend a browser that does?heh.
wigle already uses gzip transfer if your browser supports it. you don't get *more* gzipped by doing it twice.
thanks
Re: meh
when you folks encounter these errors with jigle, can you check your log file for errors/exceptions? those will provide more insight into what went wrong, and what new case we're going to need to handle in the next build. thanks! I provided 2 sets of logs via 2 different emails last week. You only ...
