I'd have to look at the prints for it, but usually, one antenna is set up as tx/rx, and the second is set up as rx only. The card will pick whichever antenna has a better signal to listen to, but only uses 1 for tx. Without getting the manual, I can only theorize, but you can experiment if you have ...

Kismet will let you run those all in 1 instance IIR, you just need to set the config up right. Set 3 locked to 1 channel (1, 6, and 11) and let the other 2 hop, and you'll be sittin pretty. A side bonus, if you can crack one of the adapers apart, it may have an external antenna jack. I took one apar...

now, your next step is to upgrade that laptop to Debian and kismet, and that 305 will be 500+ :P And to get around the wifey thing, just leave the laptop in the car and turn it on whenever you drive somewhere. Thats how I get 85% of my points, if I'm in the car, the laptop is on. I havent googled th...
cantennas are directional. VERY directional. You would need to point the cantenna at the house you're trying to warwalk, and sometimes, you may even have to point the cantenna at the AP itself in the house to get a signal. All that aside, are you sure you have the measurements correct, the offset fr...

bust out your rig and leave it in the driveway for a while with a lock, the system will average the bad points with your 'good' points and move it closer to where it really is. My AP's seem to all be located in my parking spot, because the rig never leaves the car, and they're the first AP's it sees...
go to GPSD's website and see if they support it, it's not a debian/redhat/ubuntu thing, THEY will see it, but it's GPSD that has to USE it. For the most part, if it's not a random POS GPS, GPSD will be able to get some info from it. They have a list of known good and bad GPS units that have been tes...
surprisingly, I just let it go at whatever default he set it up as, never had a need to change it. My laptop only has one cardslot, so I can only use the SMC by itself. I did a quick google, and it looks like the businessman is 65mw under b/g mode and 85 in b mode. A classic card is only 30mw... tha...
This is true, a classic orinoco would be the most accurate for NS. Mine is a Businessman version, and therefor not supported. My SMC is a 200mw card, vs the 80mw(?) for the orinoco, thus under NS, given a choice of 2 unsupported cards. a better choice because of the power. Higher power under NS will...
I believe Warcarting is akin to Extreme Ironing. A tongue in cheek jab at wardrivers. If you notice, he has a USB dropper. He's more about getting logins than anything else. As for the subway hack, they found a hack, and tried to get Boston to fix it, and promptly got a gag order. Hardly something I...
