antenna gain
that's an interesting idea. have a spot for gain as well as amplification, maybe card used, etc. i'm not sure what the math would be to effect the triangulation. if you're driving in a straight line by a point i don't believe it's "triangulated" position would be different when using the w...
That would be nice
I would love that. Then we could tie the gps into JiGLE, add polling, and you could watch as points appear as you move around on the JiGLE map as you stumble. yum.

Should be documented
Guess we should document that it must be unzipped with -d when using pkunzip. The cygwin unzip, winzip, and tar do it by default.
Java version?
It sounds like the 1.4.0 java isn't the one being invoked (an older version may be before it in your PATH). If you type 'java -version' it should say something like: java version "1.4.0" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1....

maybe it's 1.2.2?
Theoretically it should run on a 1.2.2 jre, but the png support might not have been there yet, or something else strange. We work/test on 1.3.1 and 1.4.0, so if you grab one of those from java.sun.com then maybe the problems you're seeing will magickally go away. If that works let us know so we can ...

Can't run
How much ram is in the machine? it could be that jigle can't load up all the images and isn't displaying them. Also what version of java are you using? Make sure you are in the JiGLE directory when running the run.bat so that it is in your java classpath. You should have 3 png images and a .mappack ...
LA, Riverside and San Bernardino
I generated LA, Riverside and San Bernardino on a more beefier box, so anyone who has tried to generate them and had it failed they exist now. They didn't turn out too well since they are such a big area. I'm working on making large areas look decent as part of the rendering from GIS data in a DB ta...
3x the fun
hrm, was posting the last message via a friend's zaurus, and thought it wasn't posting, so I tried multiple times. It must have a very conservative caching policy.
maps
interesting. we have a lot of image handling issues. it sounds like it just might be running low on memory. hopefully we will get a more graceful version out soon.

Grid
It would pry be some multiple of lat/long, so they would be a bit keystoned, but would make all the math nice and easy. What is approx 200x200 meters in lat/long? I could make it close. I'm really not to that stage yet, I'm just starting to get RiGLE to gen maps out of a db (I've got complete chains...
