Re: Google Pie and Wifi Wardriving

This is getting ridiculous, allow the user to decide battery life trade-offs, instead of forcing things to fail. And don't go the route of Apple, removing the ability altogether, making the platform useless for whole categories of applications for regular folks who aren't rooting/jailbreaking.

Re: Support new Kismet log format in Kismet trunk

Probably not, that's not a great format for transport and incremental diffs. But they do have a new file format we keep meaning to add a parser for.

Re: wigle.net blocked in Russia

The current 54.70.85.50 is a static ip that we plan to keep for a while. At least one more will likely be added soon however.

Re: Slow Scanning when screen locked

We didn't change how scanning is done, so has it always been that long? Or this is coincidental with something else.

Re: Download all of my KMLs

As long as you do it serially I think that'd be ok. You have ~2k uploads so it will take a while, as you suggest.

Re: Different look, december 2017

SSID's at level 19 is unusable in cities. Maybe turning on text could be density-per-tile adjusted like we did for drawing size. Changing how the networks are colored as a user-adjustable drop-down is on the roadmap. We'd like to be able to use the color dimension to show various aspects of network ...

Re: Different look, december 2017

Just added a boost to network pixel size if the tile has very low density as well, works better for rural areas vs a city.

Re: Different look, december 2017

We've tuned the drawing sizes to start increasing at less (more zoomed out) levels, hopefully that's better for you. Try new areas to make sure you're not seeing cached tiles. Being able to make and roll out that change in a few minutes is certainly better for us :D Zoom 15: 2 pixels Zoom 17: 3 pixe...

Re: Different look, december 2017

Yup, we've moved to an entirely new infrastructure which we can iterate on quickly, and has very flexible searching and filtering (which we'll be able to expose soon). The old system literally took many hours to make a change, and was about to head into a technical scaling brick wall which would mak...
