I am more than willing to break my own things, in the interest of learning. I am reluctant to break other people's things, especially when I don't even know what they are.
Dragorn is apparently working on it, as of day before yesterday. It may be best to check there.

I'm not familiar with a Nokia 810, but apparently someone has installed Kismet on a Nokia 800. Your mileage may vary, not responsible for accidents, etc.
He will still have to start gpsd about that way (won't need the debug choice for driving, of course). I got a BU-353 for USD $19.95 new, on a Black Friday sale. For non USA people, that is a big shopping day to kick off Christmas seasonal shopping. So far, I am quite happy with it. I had been using ...

Are you going to post a how to? If its going to be semi-permanent why not use every card it will run? This has all been done, on the automation, I am trying to avoid re-inventing the wheel. I have a CF-28, it has two miniPCI and three PCMCIA, so it could run five cards, all internally. I am poor fo...

I'm wanting to move away from PCMCIA completely. For the last year I've been driving with an old IBM A-21 (2 PCMCIA), and recently got an old Panasonic Toughbook (which is very cool). It has 3 PCMCIA slots, but I want to use the Toughbook with two miniPCI cards, and make it a 'trunk monkey'. It is m...

recommended miniPCI cards for Kismet?
I am working on getting some different wardriving hardware up, and I am investigating miniPCI cards for the first time. I have broken enough pigtails on PCMCIA cards. I have an Intel 2915 card on hand that I have never used (that I assume that is functional, and I see it is supported in Kismet). Wha...

kismet, snort and bash to upload my logs?
I just posted this on the Kismet forum, wanted to repeat it here. I've been a happy Kismet user for five years. I started on a Sharp Zaurus and moved through several old laptops. I'm interested in a variation of something I have thought about for several years. Some of my wardriving setups have been...

I was basing this question, mostly on seeing my own uploads. For example, yesterday I uploaded some logs. The column for New Networks Discovered with GPS is one number, and in the column for Total New Discovered Networks _often_ is the same number, but occasionally is higher, leading me to think tha...
If by 'mapping' you mean making maps, any PDA will be limiting. For basic wardriving, there are several that work well. I used an old Sharp Zaurus for years, it had a serial out (works with an Etrex) with a special cable, and had CF slot for wifi card. You could run Kismet on it without much trouble...
