Archiving, and site bugs?

What is "archiving" status, and why did my upload get stuck with that instead of "success?" Used the tablet app like usual, but the 2nd one had no new WiFi indicated.
Also, why can't I post this under web site bugs?

Tried another upload, but same result. I'm using only version wigle 2.10, which is all that's offered for this tablet on f-droid. The downloadable apk won't work because of no play services. I'm using Unofficial][AOSP] Android 7.1.2 Nougat on Samsung galaxy tab 10.1, updated to latest version within the last few days, which can't possibly be related.

I've updated the foss-master to the latest 2.24 version, stripping out all the google maps/play libs.

The new version now complains about MODE_WORLD_READABLE no longer supported, but the old version seems to be working again.
