I no longer have the laptop, but still have the Cisco AIR-352 card. I am looking for the same card in the PCI version (AIR-PCI352) in exchange to use with my desktop. Is this proposition workable?

How about buying a PCI slot PCMCIA card reader?

I had thought of getting an adapter that you suggested. Location of a desktop is usually not an ideal location for wireless reception. For this reason I sidelined the idea. I am new to this forum. Perhaps you have an idea if a trade might be in sight on this board. I thank you for your suggestion.
