WiGLE and Google Maps
That is seriously cool, a most excellent mashup indeed!
One glitch encountered using Safari 1.3 under Mac OSX 10.3.9 -- the pop-up details for each balloon come up empty. The details floater is there, just no content. The contents do appear under Firefox 1.0.4.

That's really groovy. now i need to find a machine that's powerful enough to do all the alpha compositing! (/me curses crufty old laptop)
Dude, this should totally be implemented. No offense, but the wigle maps are crap compared to the google maps. Can't wait for an actual interface. I only wish that such maps could be printed.
I'm working on that in the Musatcha.com WiGLE client. As soon as I can figure out their tiling system, then it will be in there. If anybody has any info on that, I would greatly appreciate it.

i've been playing around a (very) little with google maps. i've been experimenting with geo-photo blogging (is that a word?). the balloons contain HTML links to pics of a camping trip. not world-class content, but it was something to play with. depending on your resolution, you may need to zoom out one click to see all the waypoints. switch to satellite view and zoom out a few clicks, it is pretty country.

I'm getting the error: "The Google Maps API key used on this webpage was registered for a different site. You can generate a new key for this web site at http://www.google.com/apis/maps/."
Let me know when this is fixed.
