You'll have to wait a few days for that, since it is not aired yet and my time machine is currently in maintenance.

Cool, It's good to see this type of coverage. The public needs to be educated about what war driving really is. Maybe they should have named it peace driving and there wouldn't be so much negative public energy

-My grandson installed this router thing so I can use my computer in the kitchen when I'm cooking. But I'm afraid those war people are going to steal my recipes.
(Reporter)
-No mam, your thinking of hackers. War Drivers are the "peaceful" cartographers of wifi!
Viva la Wigle!

Unfortunately labels not only help identify, they also help stereotype.-No mam, your thinking of hackers. War Drivers are the cartographers of wifi!

I had a look: good work. Not too much sensation, just clear explanation (It's in Flemish/Dutch so I can follow it) For those who want an idea of what the throat noises mean:You can download the interview
- It starts with "lots of people install wireless networks now but forget to secure them"
- It tells about wardrivers but makes (very) clear that wardrivers only map available wireless network (as a sort of 'weird hobby' just like other people collect stamps). wardrivers just happen to be very good at wireless network (in)security.
- Images of the wardrivers explaining what they see (X networks, Y unsecured), colors in kismet.
- They do "break in" to the unsecure network of someone (missed if it is one of their friends or someone from the TV program) but with full permission.
- They scan that network and open a 'My Documents' share on one computer and find snowboard (woohoo!) pictures.
- They also explain that it is easy to sniff traffic.
- A test mail is sent and 'sniffed'. And they tell that without the explicit permission of the person inside that would have been a crime under Belgian law.
Hope I didn't miss anything.
