Getting old Kismet files loaded by Kismet

The gear needed for wardriving

Is there a way to have Kismet load stored Kismet files? I recently discovered that the MySQL database that I'd been using hadn't recorded more than about 1400 points.
I reinstalled GPSDrive. This time 2.10pre3 using the new geoinfo table. I would like to get my points into the database. I though having Kismet reload old .gps files would work. Is there another way of loading the info into the MySql database (or another database)(besides hand typing 30k networks and their coordinates)?

Kismet can't reload old .GPS log files. Kismet newcore should have reloading functionality, although I'm not sure if it won't just be for .dump files.

What you can do is download the data you've submitted to wigle, either manually, or by using Jigle, and massage the cachefile(s) into a format that you can import into the MySQL db used by GPSDrive.

GPSDrive allready knows how to do it for the new POI table introduced sometime in the course of 2.10pre2, so adapting the routines in the GPSDrive POI perl script to import the Jigle cachefiles into the waypoints table instead, shouldn't be to hard.
