This is a test. And it appears to be successful!

The "keep me logged in between" visits functionality doesn't seem to be working for me. Anyone else seeing issues?

Yep I had to log back in to reply. But Firefox kills cookies for me so I'll have to change couple of things then see.

Edit if I close the tab that wigle on I need to log back in and I didn't close the browser.

Odd, I'm not seeing any issues with that, the forum cookie keeps working on later visits.

I'm running Safari 5.0 on OS X 10.6.4. I checked my forum cookies and found these. The "X" is in the "Secure" column. Note the phpbb3 ones have today's date for expiration.

Code: Select all

.wigle.net style_cookie / X July 13, 2001 7:44 am wigle.net phpbb2mysql_data / May 17, 2011 3:21 pm .wigle.net phpbb3_apcj6_k / X July 13, 2011 7:42 am .wigle.net phpbb3_apcj6_sid / X July 13, 2011 7:42 am .wigle.net phpbb3_apcj6_u / X July 13, 2011 7:42 am www.wigle.net phpbb2mysql_data / June 20, 2011 8:39 am
So I cleared those and re-entered the Forum. The newly created cookies showed similar expirations:

Code: Select all

.wigle.net phpbb3_apcj6_k / X July 13, 2011 7:50 am .wigle.net phpbb3_apcj6_sid / X July 13, 2011 7:50 am .wigle.net phpbb3_apcj6_u / X July 13, 2011 7:50 am .wigle.net style_cookie / X July 13, 2001 7:51 am
I tried the logging in with Firefox 3.6.6, which had no wigle cookies, and saw the same situation -- expiration dates for the phpbb3 cookies were set to the date/time I logged in.

Aye, today's date next year (2011). I see the same in Firefox, seems to work the same as the old version of the forums. If people were hitting from ssl and non-ssl connections, I tweaked a setting so that should work fine again now.

Bingo! It was the 'secure connections only' setting for the cookie that was keeping the insecure connection to the Forum from reading the expiration date.

Many thanks, 'tis working perfectly now.
