Yes, that worked.

"Enter the developer options and disable "WiFi Scan throttle" or similar."

No, I cannot find 'developer options'. I have a moto one 5G.

"If you find a device on which this doesn't work, please let us know."

don't have that exact model, but Moto usually hides it under Settings -> System -> Developer Options. There's a search box inside developer options that'll speed up finding the throttling setting, but the text may vary.
