HELP, CANT READ MAP!!!

hi, i have a map and i cant seem to figure out how to read it.

I understand that the symbols are for signal strength, but does the red mean that security is good or does green mean that security is good and red means they have no protection.

Looks like that was a Microsoft Streets and Trips generated map with a NetStumbler plugin. On those maps, the Green towers are networks without WEP, while the Red towers are networks with WEP.
