Re: Wigle Wifi Wardriving 2.2 Released
When I attempt to upload, I'm getting an error after compression: FileNotFoundException: https://wigle.net/gps/gps/main/confirmfile/ The error lists the file that wasn't found, but it ends with .csv. The file is present compressed in the named location but ends with .csv.gz. I don't know if the erro...

Could the Scan On/Off toggle be added to the Dashboard tab?
I prefer using the Dashboard view but I like to toggle scanning when going into parking lots and it's somewhat cumbersome to have to switch back/forth with List view a few times.

Re: User-Specific Map
First Discovered By Me assumes that, for each path one takes, one discovers new networks. I'd like to also see (in another color) observed networks, in case one's predecessors were thorough.

Can Keynote do a Logarithmic Scale? That'd make channels other than 1/6/11 more differentiated than in a linear scale.Nice. I dropped it into Keynote, and made this in about 10 seconds
That would be deterring all but one out of approximately one billion hackers. Do you honestly think it's that strong of a deterrent?Put a password on your network, and you will deter 99.9999999% of hackers.

If you reread my message, I wasn't talking about the GPS file. I know that some of the GPS detections get folded into (and disappear from) the CSV and XML files, and that if the GPS receiver dies then the CSV and XML files will have detections (most likely sans coordinates) that aren't in the GPS fi...

Zoom in on it, hope the SSID is something that you can search easily on, then do a query on it, and check the lastseen date, to see if it corresponds with a date you might have detected it. In addition to querying the SSID (or not), remember to fill in the Latitude and Longitude range from the Web ...

Roadnav news says that new Tiger data was released recently - are you using this newer data? I'm wondering if you're busy switching over, since I haven't seen the web maps functioning in at least five days. Or maybe there's some other issue?
I've had this happen with an unsupported (heh) USB WiFi adapter - the Motorola WU830G. Happened in a particular spot in Federal Way, WA, and another in northern Seattle; I don't recall whether it was related to the dreaded error 0005. My restart-free approach to coping with this in NetStumbler: Pres...
